alright, correct me if im wrong but right now i need to, perform clean install. take out motherboard, put new motherboard in/plug everything in. then use activation key if it prompts me to. if not go into activation and troubleshoot to give me windows after windows boots and just start like...

welp. thanks for your help everyone, im hoping that everything goes well and works, when i put the new cpu and motherboard in tomorrow, i boot it up, its gonna show me windows 10, im gonna activate it through there and there will be a smile on my screen :)

as of right now, im backing up all the files i need to keep (personal) and putting games etc on my spare hdd and ssd, then im going to do a full clean install on my windows hdd, then, as its now 12am and ive been freaking out, tomorrow im going to put the new stuff in, and then reactivate...

thank you guys so much, all the videos and guides ive seen have been saying to go into device manager etc. and delete all my old motherboard drivers and cpu drivers and graphics card drivers and i just thought that it seemed too sketchy because heaps of people were saying different things

okay so right now im using my i7-950 and the x58 chipset mobo, all i need to do is factory reset my pc, then take it out and put the new one in with a clean install of windows? im really sorry im super new to this also the new motherboard is new inbox, with all cd's etc.
