I ordered the following on Monday. Keep in mind I already have an optical drive and an available copy of an OS.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($229.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM...
So I followed the superb details listed throughout this thread to take the laptop apart, solder the 4 points and put it back together.
It does the same thing it did before 'attempting' to fix the problem. When I connect the AC adapter to the Laptop the power light(Lightning bolt) lights up for...
Just in case anyone is interested.. I spoke to Newegg and informed them of the fact that the UPC label would be missing from the package.
The rep stated that for RAM they did not need the original packaging and that it would not be a problem.
He also stated that they would need both sticks...
This may complicate things, so mention it to NewEgg. In some cases, it may mean you need to go through the manufacturer's RMA process.
I was afraid that may be the case. I will be calling Newegg tomorrow during their business hours to disucss the situation.
If they came together in one...
Thanks McGruff. I bought these from Newegg and I know their Customer service is supposed to be top notch, I just have never had to RMA anything.
The problem is that I had to cut part of the packaging that contained the UPC to send for a mail in rebate. I also assume Newegg will want both...
I built this system roughly 2 weeks ago and it has ran flawlessly until now.
The PC was up and running last night prior to going to bed. Checked on it this morning and it was stuck in a reboot loop with the BIOS trying to Auto-Recover.
I pulled/reseated various components, reset BIOS via...
I have the Acer 22" 5ms Widescreen and it is fantastic. Games look great with no ghosting.

I have a E6400 coupled with a Gigabyte 965P-DS3 and it works perfectly.
I am using this ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145034
Have not overclocked just yet but I have a feeling based on the number of other posts/reviews that it will be rock solid.
Eagerly awaiting DaSickNinja's tests of the 3060. The E6600 wasn't worth the price jump for the extra 2mb of cache when I bought my E6400(LAST WEEK!)
Now these Xeon banded chips have 4mb cache across the board for only $20 more....
Take a look at this thread before buying that E6300

Apparently Intel relased Xeon branded chips with 4mb cache that compare to E6300/E6600 in clock speed.
I think the jury is still out on how well this work/overclock but...
I just installed the Antec you linked in a E6400/eVGA 7900GTO system and so far so good.
The fan is quiet and the modular design is nice. It comes with a ton of cables but since this is my first PSU purchase in a long time I'm no sure if all of the other products do this as well.
It's only...
