Figured it out...the cpu, the new one has 5 pins that are bent

I installed rizen 7 5700 after updating bios on my Adcock b450 mobo. Now it's not booting up. Everything is running but just a black screen.

I am going to replace my old cpu with a Ryzen 7 5700, I went to the asrock website support and there is nothing about NOT updating bios for RYZEN cpu's only " Pinnacle, Raven or Summit Ridge." Is it assumed then that Rvzen is ok to update to? Color me cornfused!

Yes, that's what I am thinking as well. Will I need to upgrade the memory too? As for updating the bios after installing it, is that on the web site for the mobo?

Yes, it's working, but it gets taxed heavily when I am working with photography software. Has to make up for the CPU being weak.

I think your right. I do have a dgpu but at times I wonder if it is even working. Just seems to be invisible

I think Nighthawk has the right idea, surely there will be more 5700's coming over the border soon. I'm going to take the old wait and see approach as getting win11 onto my computer isn't a make or break project! Then also maybe never get it installed as well!

seems that the only ones that have them available is Amazon or B&H. Sure there's other's but the price is going up as we write about it so it seems. I'm surprised that so many want the 5700.
