New PC, CPU at 100 degrees celsius.

Hi there. I don't think it's my case, since I have the Cooler Master storm Stryker. (the sexy white beast) Yea i noticed that I used way to much paste. That was stupid, but now I have just a little pea, also that didn't change a bit. still 100 degrees immediately. But what did work was following...

indeed a good thing to read the computronix article, he said that you shouldn't use P95 28,5 build because it pushes it to the 100 degrees immediately. And that's the exact version I was using. Now I'm using the P95 26,6 version and now the temps are 84, 87, 85, 79. So thats better but not...

indeed kinda same problem, only he has 78 degrees max at real temps and prime 95

ok i will try that now. uhm with the stock cooler its around 40-48 degrees and with the CM cooler its around 34-36 Edit: I did what you said, but this doesn't let my pc restart when it exceeds (in this case 55 degrees) the max temps, only the fan turns faster... Isn't there a way I can let my PC...

uhm sorry mjsalkeridge but I don't know how to change that in bios, can't find anything to change the max CPU temp to 70 or so. Also I update the bios, but also that didn't work.:(

yea sorry you are right, the RPM was indeed around 2200. I used the wrong program. but even if I set fan speed in BIOS to MAX all the time it still gets the insane temps. the cooling paste from CM is good? and I only use a small drop...

Too bad my friends don't have the same socket CPU. Maybe I can lend 1 from a computer store nearby. No the CPU isn't overclocked, just it's normal 4,0 GHz. Yea the fan increases greatly. from a around 500 rpm to 900+ rpm.

yea I already watched a video of how to install it. Did it the correct way. The stock cooler is installed and I get the same high temps, the only differents is that when I stop the test, it takes more time till the temps drop. I also have an Enermax cooler here, maybe i can try to install that...

New PC, CPU at 100 degrees celsius.

Hi, First I tried to apply the same cooler again with some lesser thermal compound. This is how much I used this time: Temps are now between 88 and 95. so not a great improvement. When I feel the part that is mounted on the CPU itself (Red arrow) it feels very warm ( not 100 degrees). And when...

No not hot at all. I think i stalled it correctly yea, according to the manual. I have some pictures I hope they are clear. And I still have the stock cooler indeed so maybe I put that one on it before I damage the CPU. Or am I not damaging the CPU because me PC doesn't freeze or restart?
