That worked. I cleared the NVRAM by holding the WPS button at startup till the router rebooted. Thanks a lot!

I think the problem is the NVRAM, which has to be cleared. I will try that later.

After having flashed Tomato's newest firmware for the ASUS rt-ac68u I cannot access the GUI anymore. I can't even connect to the network, neither by DHCP nor by manual assignment of the IP adresses. The wireless network does exist, however, I have no chance to connect with my Android mobile...
