SOLVED If anyone else sees this and has a similar issue try updating the driver for your PCE-AC68 to the Broadcom 7.77.119.0 driver. It resolved the issue for me. I googled for it and downloaded it on catalog.update.microsoft.com however I can not guarantee it is a safe website to download...

I've solved it! It seems that one or two of my RAM sticks/slots are broken in some way because my computer now works if I only use 2/4 of my RAM sticks instead of all 4.
