So I've come to terms with the fact that a 144hz monitor is a waste on my rig with a GTX 760 (cry). I'm trying to buy a nice 1080p 60hz monitor for gaming and narrowed it to two ASUS Monitors. For some reason, the one with seemingly better specs (like 1ms vs 5ms response time) is $50 dollars...

So my monitor died, I have a budget of $200-$300, a GTX 760 (old rig all around) and I won't be upgrading other components. I'm debating going to 144hz monitor as I play twitch shooters mostly like CSGO, The Division, Overwatch, etc. I also play other games like MMO's and enjoy high quality...

Cleared CMOS, reset BIOS and set RAM profile to XMP. Running at 1600mhz at 1.5v. I'm very happy! Thank you!

Would updating BIOS do the same as clearing CMOS? I might try that instead since I havn't ever done it since I got the mobo in 2011? Also I read one some forums that the i7 920 defaults to 1066mhz, maybe thats the issue and i just need to OC the ram. The BIOS has an xmp profile and my x58...
