installed new Maximus VIII ranger motherboard today, and i cant update the drivers. i tried with an external cd reader, usb and straight from internet. but it says there is no ethernet cable connected doesnt recognise usb or ext reader, ethernet worked with old motherboard

Will it bottleneck? if so, what CPU do you recommend? could i just go straight to a i7-5820K and later upgrade GPU or keep the 750? i have the ASUS B85M-G motherboard with the 1150 socket.
