OMG Pressing the camera worked. I have spent all night wiping laptop and reloading windows7 which fixed nothing. PRESS THE LID AROUND THE CAMERA PEOPLE, YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE. I always felt it was in the camera but never wanted to open the thing. Must be a ribbon connection.
