I've connected to my PC via Ethernet port, from the router. I've recently noticed I have 147 Latency, but my Ping, UPL and DWL speeds are fine. How can I fix my Latency?

I've heard that the CPU connector can only fit in one way, I just wanted to know how to tell which way to insert it. E.g the writing on the cable has to be facing north or something. If it helps I am using the Asus Z97 Maximus Ranger and the AX 860 Corsair power supply. Thanks.

Just wanted to know which one has more power cause the gold has 140watts more but then the AX is platinum so it uses more power than golds so I am a bit confused.
