    Yes I thought so, just hoped maybe I'm missing something... just opened a case on EBay and going to order a new one. I just want to keep my PC alive for a little longer, can you suggest me a 1155 CPU for under 70$? Or ist the i5 3570 quiet fine?

    Yeah, I meant the 3570 (It's 3:37 right now over here:P ). I arleady did the update and the POST-Screen with the old Processor shows the F12 Version

    Just recognized that my Mobo got Dual BIOS, which is as far I know that it got a Back-Up BIOS for when the main BIOS fails. Could it be possible, that the PC can't boot, switches to the second BIOS which is maybe not affected from the CMOS reset causing the problem?

    Yes everything seems to be the CPU, but the fact that its different with or without CMOS Battery in really disturbes me. If its the CPU, shouldn't it be no matter if its in or not?
