News Intel 8th, 9th and 10th Gen processors absent from Microsoft's Windows 11 24H2 CPU support list

We are reaching out to Microsoft for clarification. However, I don't think Microsoft would issue an update to a system that doesn't support it.

News Intel 8th, 9th and 10th Gen processors absent from Microsoft's Windows 11 24H2 CPU support list

The Windows 11 minimum system requirements page also points to this list of CPUs. Expand the processors section, then follow the "list of approved CPUs" link. This then takes you to the same list of processors as cited in this article. Barring another list of minimum supported processors...

News Puget says its Intel chips failures are lower than Ryzen failures — retailer releases failure rate data, cites conservative power settings

We do have some follow up Q's for Puget. Yes, they are very forthcoming with more information if requested -- even from the public. Their President is taking questions from the public here: View: https://x.com/jonbach/status/1819454249698578707

News Puget says its Intel chips failures are lower than Ryzen failures — retailer releases failure rate data, cites conservative power settings

To my understanding, he was basically removing a double post that was already posted in another thread. The post was already posted in the *relevant* thread, and that post was NOT removed. It's still there. This is like daily mod duty stuff. He discussed it directly with the poster in a public...

News Puget says its Intel chips failures are lower than Ryzen failures — retailer releases failure rate data, cites conservative power settings

Thanks for joining our forums today — welcome. We do have a freelancer who mods at the R/Intel and R/Hardware forums, but that work is not at the behest of, or affiliated with, Tom's Hardware as an organization. And yes, Tom's Hardware is an enthusiast website, so it isn't uncommon for our...

News Intel announces an extra two years of warranty for its chips amid crashing and instability issues — longer warranty applies to 13th- and 14th-Gen C...

Yes, those aren't the primary pick for those categories, just alternates. In regards to testing, yes, all Intel chips are currently undergoing re-tests (it is killing me, honestly) using Intel's new guidance. This is, of course, going to be reflected in upcoming Zen 5 reviews.

News Intel announces an extra two years of warranty for its chips amid crashing and instability issues — longer warranty applies to 13th- and 14th-Gen C...

It's a fair point that the issue is not listed in the breakouts for each chip in the list of the Best CPUs for Gaming—I've added that. This has been a long-developing situation, so we are attempting to approach it as well as we can. Chip issues are common—AMD has had chips that don't meet boost...

News An interview with Mike Clark, the Father of Zen — 'Zen Daddy' says 3nm Zen 5 is coming faster than you think; also talks compact cores for desktop...

This is a very common misconception. However, Mike Clark was the lead architect from day one. I was in the audience when he introduced Zen 1 at Hot Chips in 2016 as the lead architect. I even interviewed him backstage after the presentation. (Fun fact: I interviewed him in the same green room...
