    Quick update, I solved the problem, seems the psu was to blame. Brought a much better one and everything is now sweet. Thanks again guys!

    Hmm, the card had 2xdvi and 1x s-video, I will see if i can dig out a vga adapter, feel I'm losing a bit of quality through vga though. If thats not the solution I'll send the card back. Thanks for your help. :)

    Have you properly cleaned out the old drivers? i.e. gone into safe mode, used the nvidia driver clean up tool (sorry can't remember proper name) and any other associated files?     The card was checked on a friends machine, using a dvi - vga adapter, on my machine i am using a dvi - hdmi cable. I will Tinker with it when i get home tonight.
