Quick update, I solved the problem, seems the psu was to blame. Brought a much better one and everything is now sweet. Thanks again guys!

Hmm, the card had 2xdvi and 1x s-video, I will see if i can dig out a vga adapter, feel I'm losing a bit of quality through vga though. If thats not the solution I'll send the card back. Thanks for your help. :)

Have you properly cleaned out the old drivers? i.e. gone into safe mode, used the nvidia driver clean up tool (sorry can't remember proper name) and any other associated files? I had a similar issue with a 9800gtx which turned out to actually be a bad ram module. Can you try removing whatever...
