    Picking a 120GB SSD

Well, the better write speed on bigger SSDs is definitely attractive. I've also found an 850 evo 250GB for 99$ which seems pretty popular and shoudn't be too hard to save up for.

    Picking a 120GB SSD

I'm located in Bulgaria, eastern Europe. My current budget is 100-120 BGN (~60-75 USD), but I might be able to stretch it a bit further if need be. I'm not too worried about managing space since I'm a linux user and the fingerpring of the OS is very small. (A functional install takes less than 5GB)

    Picking a 120GB SSD

Hello! I've finally decided to get an SSD since my aging HD is kind of slow for day to day usage. My budget allows me to go for 120GB which is enough for me. I've nailed down my choices to the following 3: ADATA Ultimate SU800 WD Green SanDisk SSD PLUS In my country these cost relatively the...

Connection speed locked at 10 Mbps

Oh, yeah, 70 Mbps is my contract, I can't remember clearly now, but I think it used to be 100 Mbps in the settings before this started. I've also been having another issue where if I unplug and plug the ethernet cable connecting the router with my PC, my computer fails to establish a connection...

Connection speed locked at 10 Mbps

The cable has no visible damage to it. The writing on it says CAT 5E. The cable that the router gets signal from looks long enough to reach my PC, I'll try that next. Update: Left the speed at auto, switching the cables around didn't affect the speed. Checked the other cable on my dad's...

Connection speed locked at 10 Mbps

Hello! I used to have a connection speed of usually ~70 Mbps to my PC but a few weeks ago it dropped down to 10 Mbps and it has stayed this way. I have tried other devices and the speed seems normal. The speed and duplex in my NIC configuration is set to 1 Gbps/full duplex but I've tried 100...

Upgrading RAM on a Phenom II x6 based PC

Well, I did more research and looks like there are some people running with a 2x8GB config on Phenom IIs, so that's good news. Apparently most of these CPUs can easily reach 1600MHz OC, so there shouldn't be any issues OCing with 2 memory modules.

Upgrading RAM on a Phenom II x6 based PC

Well, it's an ancient CPU and 8GB memory banks weren't a thing at the time, but I've seen mostly mixed responces to this topic, which has only led me to further confusion.

Upgrading RAM on a Phenom II x6 based PC

I'm sorry, I formated this pretty badly, I'll still be going for dual channel with 2x8GB if the memory controller allows it.

Upgrading RAM on a Phenom II x6 based PC

Hello! I have a (very) old PC that's crying for an upgrade. Specs: AMD Phenom II 1090t Asus M4A88TD V-EVO USB3 4GB DDR3 @ 1333Mhz GTX 1050ti (Recent upgrade) My concern is, whether or not the memory controller on my CPU will work with 8GB memory modules. I've already checked the QVL on my...

    Choosing a budget CPU cooler

Basically I'm in need of a cooler that will allow me to turn up the multiplier a little bit without breaking the bank. I've managed to bring it down to 3 picks. Be quiet! Pure Rock - 36$ CM Hyper 212x - 35$ (evo costs 54$ :??:) CM Hyper 412s (not the slim one) - 39$ Those are the lowest...

Upgrading RAM on an old board

Well, if it can handle 1 stick of RAM from one maker, it should be able to handle 2. Corsair seems to be the cheapest choice so far. Thank you for your answers!

Upgrading RAM on an old board

Hello! I have a pretty old system, though it still plays the games I want it to fine, but I feel like my RAM is being a bottleneck (82% usage just when browsing/watching streams) when I try to do any kind of multitasking. Specs: AMD Phenom II 1090t Geforce gtx 1050ti 4 GB DDR3 1333mhz (Can't...

Taking risks with a cheap PSU...

Well, you are the expert, not me and I think the Seasonic is what I'll go with. Thank you for your time. ;)

Taking risks with a cheap PSU...

Bulgaria, eastern Europe. http://www.pazaruvaj.com/zahranvawi-blokove-c3158/?orderby=1 Is something like a big portal showing offers from different shops. No English version, but Google translate should do. Sorting is by price.
