I built my rig about a year ago and a half ago. I thought I was having issues with my video card (EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 580) but exchanged it a couple months ago, and haven't had any issues until a game installed last week. Ive been getting some random fractals now and got a couple...
I guess thats why a lot of the reviews on Newegg have people complaining about the RAM only coming in as 1333MHz until they set it in BIOS? The i7 looks like its native 1333MHz as well.
Other than my CPU and abundance of RAM do you see any issues? Im not set in stone about the MB but I do...

Under "Memory Types Supported"
It lists these:
DDR3-1066
DDR3-1333
Does this mean that if I get DDR-1600 RAM that it wont be supported?
Hmm ok that sounds good. I guess Ill drop the i7 for an i5 2500k and drop the ram to 8gig.

I also picked up the PSU.
Is there something Im missing with this build? Is there really a huge advantage to buying an I7 if Im not overclocking? Im looking for a compatible Motherboard with the I7 but there are so many choices. Anyone have any recommendations with SLI'd 570s? Should I look...

Ive been grabbing pieces and parts for a new build. I want to run some FPS shooters and not have to worry about an upgrade for some time. I also play Wow and have an older setup that works pretty well right now but it just outdated. I have a 24inch in windowed mode for wow that...
