SomJoe and Bob - I can't thank you enough. Got all my data back (390 GB). The software from www.runtime.org did the trick, though I spent many, many hours getting it all figured out. I used the RAID Reconstructer and then the Get Data Back--these programs worked like a charm.
Thanks again...
I'm desperate for help, thanks for your insight!
GOAL: Get Raid Zero array working again (2 Sata WD 200GB drives in Raid Zero, RAID controller powered by PROMISE is on the motherboard) so I can load files on a blank 500GB drive and never use raid zero again. I have tested both drives in the...
If anything can go wrong, it will often go wrong.
There have been several instances of me having trouble booting my RAID 0 configuration... but it's always come back up after a bit.

Hello, thanks for any help you can give.
I have several hard drives. I just installed a fresh copy of Vista on a new Raptor drive, and so I want to keep that drive reserved for the Vista OS and my program files. I'll keep all my personal files "My Documents" on a separate drive.

Hello - my kids are somewhat rough on our DVD's and I am tired of monkeying around to get the DVD's to play on our laptop computer (they get scratched or have peanut butter smudges on them, etc). I want to just load them on my hard drive or an external hard drive and be able to play them from...

That's a great reminder--thanks! I do have several unused hard drives that could do the trick. I'm remembering that I tried that about a year ago--but unfortunately, I kept getting "Delayed Write Failure" when writing to large amounts to the external drives (mostly home video files from the...
Here's the problem: I want to backup up my new photos once a month. So far in 2006, I took 50GB of photos (2 kids and an itchy camera trigger finger).
Obviously, I can manually split up the data between two DVDs. But using Nero to manually figure out which folders (organized on my computer...
