Question Comparison of write cycles of Samsung microSD 64 Gb cards “PRO Ultimate”, “PRO Plus”, “PRO Endurance”, and “EVO Plus”?

@USAFRet : Thank you! Carefully interpreting the text in the two PDF files you quoted, I summarize the results for a continuous-writing usage, such as in a dash cam, as follows: PRO Ultimate has no warranty at all, PRO Plus has no warranty at all, PRO Endurance 64 GB has 3 years of warranty...

Question Comparison of write cycles of Samsung microSD 64 Gb cards “PRO Ultimate”, “PRO Plus”, “PRO Endurance”, and “EVO Plus”?

I quote from your source: “Warranties provided herein do not extend to any use of the product for or with continuous recording instruments or any other write-intensive devices, including without limitation security cameras, surveillance systems, dashboard cameras […]”. (The emphasis is mine.)

Question Comparison of write cycles of Samsung microSD 64 Gb cards “PRO Ultimate”, “PRO Plus”, “PRO Endurance”, and “EVO Plus”?

Due to the constant use in a dash cam, my microSD cards deteriorate, and the dashcam suggest a replacement every once in a while. Therefore, I'd like to compare of the longevity of the following Samsung microSD cards with the nominal size of 64 GB: PRO Ultimate, PRO Plus, PRO Endurance, and EVO...

Question Modern WWAN with Dell Mobile Precision M6700 ?

I have Mobile Broadband : EMEA Internal Dell Wireless 5560 (HSPA+) MiniCard in my Dell Mobile Precision M6700 laptop. This mPCIe card supports, IMHO, only old Internet-via-radio standards, some of which are being turned off in various countries. With which mPCIe card can one replace the old...

Question When and how to set up a sufficiently large EFI partition for dual Secure Boot?

I don't understand you I'm afraid. You wrote: “the boot partition that has the bcd store of windows.” This boot partition you mentioned (the one with the BCD store of Windows) resides on the drive in your opinion, right? I.e., on the SSD or HDD of your computer (assuming there is just one...

Question When and how to set up a sufficiently large EFI partition for dual Secure Boot?

Why do you assume that my drive has any partition at all, in fact, any data at all in its current state?

Question When and how to set up a sufficiently large EFI partition for dual Secure Boot?

@Ralstone Thanks for the links. I'm not sure how they are related, though. Probably not that much. I'll take a closer look anyway.

Question When and how to set up a sufficiently large EFI partition for dual Secure Boot?

Hm, not sure I understand you, but thanks anyway. When you speak about the boot menu, do you mean the boot menu produced by BIOS UEFI or the boot menu produced by the bootloader stored in the EFI system partition?

Question When and how to set up a sufficiently large EFI partition for dual Secure Boot?

Are you serious? Homework for which course at which institution? For the course on operating systems (at least 2-3 courses that I am aware of) such a question would have been considered too technical, too low-level and probably undoable unless the teacher went for the extremely specific topic of...

Question When and how to set up a sufficiently large EFI partition for dual Secure Boot?

Let's assume you wish to install Debian stable „bullseye“ amd64 and Windows 11 for dual boot with Secure Boot on a modern computer. Lower bounds on the size of a EFI partition have been suggested. How do you best create this EFI partition: before installing both operating systems and hoping...

Question Any screened/shielded cable from header port to VGA D-sub ?

The folks who need ECC RAM and multithreading but have small budget.

Question Any screened/shielded cable from header port to VGA D-sub ?

Sure? In many systems, VGA ports are directly attached to a separate graphics card or to a motherboard. No doubt about VGA being/getting deprecated for the bulk consumer; I'm not questioning this. Of course, in dedicated niche areas, VGA still lives.

Question Any screened/shielded cable from header port to VGA D-sub ?

@kanewolf Of course the VGA standard is outdated, but the costs of living have gone up, so I save money and will have to live, at least for a while, with an old (and still perfectly usable) VGA monitor. What exactly is it that you call proprietary?

Question Any screened/shielded cable from header port to VGA D-sub ?

Do shielded/screened video cables from the VGA D-Sub slot to the VGA header port on the motherboard exist? I have ASUS WS C422 PRO/SE (2066) mainboard and my current cable is unshielded and I see lots of interference noise of the screen (probably, but not completely surely, due to the missing...
