My MSI 970A-G43 came with a jumper, this being my first build I have no idea what its for or if its damaging my pc not having it in while I use it. The manual only said it cleared some ram of sorts in the motherboard. Should I have this plugged in?

Im not understanding how 6+2 pin slots work on PSU's. My corsair CX600 claims in its specifications that it has two 6+2 slots, however both slots only have 6 holes. Ive seen 6+2 plugs and they have 8 slots all together. Do I just leave extra 2 hanging out for no reason or something?
