Could the SATA port the older drive is using be interfering with the M2 drive within the BIOS? I am only very moderately understanding of computer components, am I drawing the wrong conclusion with the questions that were asked?

I cannot tell which SATA port, the PC was a prebuilt Cyberpower, and the cable routing is convoluted. Looks like I would have to disassemble a good portion of things to track down the connection spots as the SATA cable goes behind a panel. The BIOS version is E7B98IMS.160. (3/19/2019)
