I recently had this very issue. Buy the 980 or the 390x After weeks of research i went the 390x. Why.. well it basically has the performance of the 980 and even beats it in some games. Have 8gb vram compared to 4gb also cost $150 less in my country (australia) I am not a nvidia or amd fanboy...

Just fitted the hybrid and after stuffing up my vram1 heat pads and pulling it all apart to fix it, the temps are 72c gpu 90c vram1 60c vram2 after 25min of furmark burn in. That is silent mode and fans flat out the gpu sits at 62c after 25min of furmark

Oh nice well I ordered it tonight so cant wait to fit it!!!! My wife shall be happy too :) less noise And can get more out of my card with over clocking :) Will post with my temps once fitted and running

Ok thanks will try downclock the cards to the same speed is that correct? Vsync is off too.

Ok people I am pretty new to this all I have bought 2x gtx 760 and have them in sli I have a 60hz monitor I am using fraps and when I get below 60 fps the screen looks really choppy even if im getting 50fps this does not happen when running just 1 card I Have an i5 3570k @4gh...

Can anyone tell me why in bf4 if im getting under 50fps it looks so choppy? if I set resolution scaling to 150% using fraps im getting 50fps but looks like 10fps........ Yet with 1 card at 50fps its smooth as... This also happens in farcry 3 have tried vsync on/off in NVidia control panel

I do like shadow play so was thinking 780 over r9 Thanks for the help :)

I'm thinking about selling them both and getting a R9 290 or gtx780 The sli performance really sucks and this is the only game I play
