I've got the same issue also using a MSI Z370 board, have a feeling it might be something to do with the bios software.

I would Definitely got with the 680's cheaper, better and you can add another in the future however I would much rather take 2 Radeon 7970 GHZ edition over the 680's. And how far away will this future build be?

Also I tried resetting the BIOS,..... no luck.

How much are you looking to spend for your pc? Also if I was you I would go for an i5 instead of a i7 as you dont really need hyper-threading. And how high are you aiming to overclock the CPU? Also if your pc is just for gaming I would go for 8gb of RAM instead of 16gb because 8 gb is enough...
