Question Should I upgrade my ryzen 5 3600?

not really much of a difference here even in 1440p, ig there's no point to upgrade the 3600 yet. I think i'll just wait for a whole system rebuild then lol.

Question Should I upgrade my ryzen 5 3600?

I just got a rx 6800 xt recently to pair up with my ryzen 5 3600 at 1440p. I mostly keep competitive fps games capped at 144fps. So is it worth it upgrade to like a ryzen 7 5800x3d for 1440p gaming or just wait till next generation?

[SOLVED] Ryzen 7 5800x temperature during normal usage at 55C to 60C with Id Cooling SE 207xt cooler

I dont think there's a way for it. From what i research that cpu just runs generally hot if i leave everything on auto unless i get a super beefed cooler. I also cant relocate it to a cooler room for better ambient temps.

[SOLVED] Ryzen 7 5800x temperature during normal usage at 55C to 60C with Id Cooling SE 207xt cooler

Well I locked the cpu speed at 4.2ghz now and disabled pbo. Temps are running far better at 56C during the bench test with the voltage fed at 1.08V to 1.11V instead of the previous 1.44V.

[SOLVED] Ryzen 7 5800x temperature during normal usage at 55C to 60C with Id Cooling SE 207xt cooler

It has been running a year around 90C due to fault aio and i just recently got back to help him replace it. I am using hwinfo64 to monitor the temps. The fans are set on auto. I sort of solve it by following a guide on youtube which sets my cpu clock speed at 4.2ghz and disabling pbo. Now my...

[SOLVED] Ryzen 7 5800x temperature during normal usage at 55C to 60C with Id Cooling SE 207xt cooler

I recently installed a tower cooler for my dad's cpu. However the temps I'm getting was kinda disappointing. Because I have no other reference for this cooler other than this video Five for 5000: Ryzen 7 5800X Dual Tower Round-up - YouTube where he's using the exact same cooler and cpu, I'm...

Question RTX 3070 only running at PCIe 4.0 x8 when it says it supports PCIe 4.0 x16 ?

Thank you for the suggestion but i saw the post earlier and took it out and clean the pcie on the gpu, doesnt seem to change anything. I'll try blowing the pcie lane on the mobo with compressed air later. I'm not sure about whether if i should update my bios since i've been told to only update...

Question RTX 3070 only running at PCIe 4.0 x8 when it says it supports PCIe 4.0 x16 ?

Thanks for the reply. I asked around forums when i first got the gpu whether that psu will be okay for the system since it's pretty much new. Most said okay and i measured the power draw from the wall as well and it didnt go over 400w if i remembered correctly. It's been almost 2 years now and...

Question RTX 3070 only running at PCIe 4.0 x8 when it says it supports PCIe 4.0 x16 ?

I already resitted the gpu and started the render test using gpu z too but It's still only running at x8. I'm not sure if it has always been like this but i just noticed it today. Motherboard: Asus tuf b550m plus gaming Cpu: Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: Asus tuf gaming rtx 3070 PSU: Cx550m Edit: I'm not...

Question Just found out my EVGA GTX 1070 has a flaw that could kill it. Questions about my options.

Yeah you can use cpu thermal paste for gpu since it's thermal paste anyway. It's not that hard to take apart the gpu and repaste it. But the thermal pads are a bit trickier since you cant use pads that are too thick or the heat sink wont make proper contacts. Repasting gpu is almost the same as...

[SOLVED] Planning to repaste my cpu soon, is my current thermal paste good enough

Welp, i definitely messed up somewhere. After taking off the aio fans, there was a layer of dust underneath them. I cleaned them and repasted as well. Now the temps are worse. First repaste resulted in 90C at desktop. 2nd and third was the same. On the 4th, there's an improvement at the desktop...

[SOLVED] Planning to repaste my cpu soon, is my current thermal paste good enough

I wont lie, i regret getting AIO because in my mind, i thought liquid cooling would yield much better result but sadly that's not the case i think. I dont think the pumps are failing. Perhaps it's just my installation or dust. The aio is still quite new. About a year of usage. I have used...

[SOLVED] Planning to repaste my cpu soon, is my current thermal paste good enough

The airflow in my case is as good as it's gonna get. 3 intake in the front mesh panel, 1 rear exhaust and 2 top exhaust through the radiator. Hmm it might be my installation then since your 120mm managed to keep your 3700x lower than 80C. Also my ambient temps is 24C to 30C depending on the...

[SOLVED] Planning to repaste my cpu soon, is my current thermal paste good enough

They're all working properly. Trust me. It's not my first system but i just dont have enough experience with thermal paste as i always just use arctic silver 5 or mx4. Asus tuf b550m.

[SOLVED] Planning to repaste my cpu soon, is my current thermal paste good enough

I'm planning to clean out my cpu and repaste. The cpu is a ryzen 5 3600 with an id cooling zoomflow 240x aio. Temps are not that great ngl. I expected to get under 60C whenever im gaming with an aio when i first built it but i even get up to 80C. So i'm planning to clean and repaste. The thermal...
