Apply new thermal paste whenever you see unusual high temperatures on your processor or GPU. This can happen for 2 reasons: 1) your fan cooler died 2) your thermal paste is dried out PS: other reason can be overclocking on stock fan, so care when you overclock

Arma 3 is very cpu intensive and the game is so shitty optimized so nothing you can do about that. i7 barely runs arma 3 on highest settings... your gpu is definitely not an issue.

Yea my bad. Once your oc manually, lets say to ~1.9GHz, you'll get around 2.1GHz with 3.0 GPU boost ingame. If it remains on stock 1.5GHz you will get ~1.9GHz in game with 3.0 GPU boost

Just get GTX 1060. "last longer" is not really something you can say. Longer lifespan will probably have 1060 since it runs cooler, but you will end up in changing graphic card after 2 years anyway so I don't see the point in buying 1070 for 1080p as 1060 is perfect for it

8gb ram is fine... Try to unplug one of the graphic cards and see if you still experience fps drops like that

If you test your cpu with prime95 and it sits on 100% load then it's not dying and is ok. Did you buy that GTA V or it's pirated
