[SOLVED] 3266MHz CL14 vs 3600MHz CL15 RAM, which will yield higher FPS in games with Ryzen 9 3900x?

I am currently using a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite. So in summary, your suggestion is to wait for a more stable BIOS for my motherboard, then attempt a higher frequency overclock at CL14 rather than going for a higher frequency at CL15 right now?

[SOLVED] 3266MHz CL14 vs 3600MHz CL15 RAM, which will yield higher FPS in games with Ryzen 9 3900x?

I currently own G.Skill Flare X RAM rated for 3200MHz CL14. I recently came across this video which states that the sweet spot for RAM performance with the Ryzen 3XXX series CPUs is 3600MHz. As a result of watching that video, I became interested in overclocking my RAM to achieve this, but...

Question Is it safe to test whether or not a computer will power on without a CPU heatsink installed?

Maybe I'll try powering it on for two seconds like I mentioned in the original post, and if the fans actually start spinning, I'll trust that the rig will boot properly, then install the heatsink and remaining components. Hopefully this doesn't, once again, lead to despair upon fully assembling...

Question Is it safe to test whether or not a computer will power on without a CPU heatsink installed?

When you say visual confirmation, you're referring to the BIOS logo appearing on the monitor right? Surely even if the GPU wasn't installed, the case fans would still spin upon powering on the system?

Question Is it safe to test whether or not a computer will power on without a CPU heatsink installed?

What about a GPU? If a CPU doesn't have integrated graphics, will the rig boot if there is no GPU installed?

Question Is it safe to test whether or not a computer will power on without a CPU heatsink installed?

Glad to hear that. I have another question, if you don't mind. Is it true that a rig will not boot unless a fan is connected to the CPU fan header on a motherboard?

Question Is it safe to test whether or not a computer will power on without a CPU heatsink installed?

Last Monday my Ryzen 9 3900x, the last piece of hardware I needed to begin assembling my new rig, was delivered. After fully assembling the rig, I pressed the power button on my case, but the rig failed to boot. At first I thought I had wired the front panel connectors incorrectly, so I tested...

Question Just assembled a new rig. Motherboard receives power, but case power button does nothing?

I spent the day testing the mobo and inquiring on various other forums. Eventually I reached the conclusion that the mobo was DoA and decided to request a replacement. Thank you for taking the time to try and help me, though. PS: There really isn't a need for this thread to exist anymore, so if...

[SOLVED] Can I use a "Type4" cable as a replacement for a CPU power cable?

Thanks for preventing me from damaging my computer. Though, I do find it bizarre that an 850 watt semi-modular PSU doesn't have the appropriate cable for this situation. Of course, there's also the possibility that I do have the appropriate cable and am just dumb.

Question Just assembled a new rig. Motherboard receives power, but case power button does nothing?

As mentioned in the title, I have just assembled a new rig. When I flip the PSU's switch to the on position, the motherboard's LEDs light up, so I know that the motherboard is receiving power. However, when I press the power switch on my case, nothing happens. Similarly, nothing happens when I...

[SOLVED] Can I use a "Type4" cable as a replacement for a CPU power cable?

I am attempting to build a new rig using a Corsair TXM Gold 850 watt PSU and an ASUS Prime-570 Pro motherboard. However, I have run into an issue. The motherboard has an 8-pin CPU power slot, with an additional 4-pin slot right next to it, as shown here. The CPU power cable that is attached to...

[SOLVED] Need help installing Cooler Master MF200R fan on the top of a Cooler Master H500 case

Wow, is that true? I never would have guessed that the screws are meant to created threaded grooves that weren't there previously. It literally felt like I was going to break the fan when I tried to screw those in. Guess it was my own trepidation that led me to not discovering that on my own.

[SOLVED] Need help installing Cooler Master MF200R fan on the top of a Cooler Master H500 case

I'm unable to post pictures, unfortunately, but hopefully somebody can help me. I'm trying to install a Cooler Master MF200R fan in the top fan slot of a Cooler Master H500 case. Included within the MF200R's box was one small bag of tiny screws and one small bag of longer screws. The screw holes...
