Asus P9X79 BIOS Version Compatibility with Intel Core i7 4820K - Need Clarification

I'm sorry to hear that - frustrating to say the least. I was actually going to order the deluxe, but went with the LE instead. With device manager, was it just a matter of updating drivers?

Asus P9X79 BIOS Version Compatibility with Intel Core i7 4820K - Need Clarification

NTGeek - terribly sorry for the delay. I checked device manager and it looks like no more bangs. However, I still receive the error message upon startup. I have to contact Asus support to figure out what to do next.

No problem I'll let you know first thing asap. I did have problems installing one of the drivers but I have to double check which one. I am currently on version 4302. The board was originally installed and labeled with 4005. I actually don't remember having this warning message issue until I...

Asus P9X79 BIOS Version Compatibility with Intel Core i7 4820K - Need Clarification

NTIGeek, thanks for the heads up. I already completed the build last weekend. Funny you should mention device manager. After updating the BIOS to 4302 everything ran fine accept one issue - It boots to windows and works fine, however I would get this single error message upon entering windows...

Please Help Me w/ System Configuration - 3D Modeling, Rendering, 3DS Max, Zbrush, Inventor

Just wanted to let you know that the build went perfect - installed Windows to SSD and in the process of installing all of my other apps. I did have to update the BIOS for my processor, however the P9X79 LE mobo made it simple by using the BIOS flashback via USB. Anyways, booting windows from...

    i7-3820 or i7-4820k

I was curious to know what you found out about the compatibility of the BIOS revision for the P9X79 LE with the intel core i7-4820K. I just purchased this motherboard on the 26th of Sept and hoping it has the latest BIOS version installed. My board does not have a sticker on the bios chip...

Asus P9X79 BIOS Version Compatibility with Intel Core i7 4820K - Need Clarification

I am preparing for my first computer build and wanted to clear up some confusion I had about this motherboard and the CPU in regards to the BIOS version required. Ultimately I'm hoping I don't have to go through the process of flashing the BIOS (however with the Asus P9X79 it includes a much...

Dual Monitor Cable Setup Question: Display Port or DVI with Nvidia K4000

OK, got it. I'll order a single DP to HDMI. I also noticed they have also offer a DP to dual HDMI adapter. Would this result in a mirror as well?

Dual Monitor Cable Setup Question: Display Port or DVI with Nvidia K4000

So I guess in the end it comes down to buying 2 HDMI to DP adapters vs 1 DVI Y adapter that splits into two connections. I've been searching for a few and it looks like they are priced around the same if I shop around. Assuming performance is the same based on my monitor specs I guess it comes...

Dual Monitor Cable Setup Question: Display Port or DVI with Nvidia K4000

Thanks drtweak, I definitely don't want to mirror the monitors - just extend the displays so I have my graphics application on one monitor and various GUI tools on the other monitor. The adapters seem like the best (and cheapest) way to go. I suppose the plan will be to just buy 2 DP adapters...
