Here is a little more info. It tells me the windows operating system cannot be installed on current computer. I Start the installation process and it looks like it goes most of the way through and then it stops and gives me that message.

That's a great idea. If you think that will solve the issue and bypass all of this, I'm for it. Hopefully 10 won't be too much. I already signed up for the free upgrade a while back. I'm guessing that only applies to Computers with 7 already on them?

I recently purchased a one terabyte hard drive (internal) for my vaio laptop that is about 4 years old. Apparently the newer Hard drives are 4k compatible and not 256 so my laptop cannot recognize the partitions. The only solution that I have heard so far is to purchase a new version of Windows...
