There are usually resolution options in the games themselves. What games are you playing? You do need to run the games in fullscreen and not windowed mode. Resolution scaling pretty much does the same thing also. Try turning that ip in game if possible

Are all your monitors attached to your GPU? If not is your main attached to your motherboard? Normally more monitors should have no real impact on performance.

The only other thing I can think of is to be sure and disable any overlays. Espeically the nvidia overlays.

I would try to check the temperatures. It could be the CPU mounting has come loose and is throttling. Or if it's a AIO it could be case of pump failure. Also make sure the GPU is attached to the PSU correctly, If you are using adapters try to make it so you don't need them.

Both windows home and pro can create and connect to network shares. That should be all you need for "NAS" functionality. I only suggested pro so you could use windows remote desktop to connect to it.

I suppose you could use a crossover Ethernet connection and use something like steam streaming to do it. It may not be perfect but it works surprisingly well over a wired connection.

1080p is right on the edge of human eyesight ability for 24 inch monitors IMO. Especially during faster paced games the additional detail provided by 1440p/4k monitors is harder to see. Which is why many gamers are opting for higher refresh 1080p monitors.
