    rubish or not

Windows 8 will not run faster than windows 7 if all the factory installed bloatware is running the background and at startup. You need to go through and groom back all the installed programs or reformat with fresh install of Win8 but I recommend Win7. ;)

Is my CPU bottle-necking my PC?

If you don't already have an SSD and have a hankerin' to upgrade something, get an SSD. Your hair will be blown back by the speed at which your PC boots up, loads applications, copies files, etc etc..

    Battlefield 4 - Socket 775 CPU's

Ya, I am the one that built the systems for them, probably about 2 years ago. At the time 775 was still relevant especially for general computing but with applications like BF4 it seems to be showing its age. I fell kind of bad about it now, I probably should have gotten them on 1155 or at least...

When is the next gen of CPUs from AMD and Intel coming out?

Obviously there is no telling what the future holds BUT, if you're not someone that needs the latest and greatest then your 920 still has some life in it, especially if you OC it. Looks like Intel won't have new cpu's till Q3/Q4 2014. Looks like AMD is focusing on their APU line for the time...
