Thank you for your reply The model number for the External drive (with enclosure) is SRD00F2. The drive on it's own is ST2000DM001. The Dock is a Dynamode 2.5" / 3.5" Sata HDD USB 3.0 Docking station.

I have an old SEAGATE Baracuda external hard drive with a loose/faulty connection. I'm not sure if it is the cable or the port, but I can only connect it for a few minues at a time. I bought an external hard drive dock, but I can't access the drive without reformatting. Could any kind soul here...
