No lights, no fans, no boot when I upgraded mobo and cpu. The PC worked with my other motherboard and CPU so the PSU is working. I've tried with only 1 ram stick, onboard graphics, no other front panel connectors other than the power button. Is my mobo dead?

I think I read somewhere not too long ago that you really should use the SATA data cables you got with your motherboard as if you use another set you could short the HDD/Mobo. Is this true?

I have a Gigabyte R9 390x and the requirement for a PSU's wattage is to be 600w. Does this include other things in my PC taking up wattage like my CPU?
