Thanks for that but i took off my standard cooler fan and sat the new one on and it was hitting the side rail of the case with the brass studs on top of the 212x.... mine is same as that on the site maybe i will need to strip it down fit it properly and see how it goes. trouble is i need my PC...

Well i fitted another case fan a Powercool Glaciar Pro Series 12cm the temp's are now pretty stable at 56c on both temp's.. the southbridge was running at 72c. so all looks ok now i am also possibly going to change my CPU cooler to a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo after advice on here..... I have...
