It worked with 2 cores all this time, oh well, thanks for helping me u literally saved my life... cant believe it was that easy..

RAM to intel? What does this mean? Defective cpu as in, some of the cores arent working or are broken?

But the main issue still exists, i can only see 2 out of 4 cores and in bios it goes to 3 max.. any idea on how to fix this? Cpu unparking?

Oh wait... active processor cores, i've set it to 2 and booted in safe mode, its working i can see my loading screen again..

I'm getting Haswell Refresh i5 4460 if thats what you meant , basically if i change to a mobo that supports 1866 or higher it can handle it ?

I'm thinking of buying intel i5-4460 and asrock h97 pro4 , i'm thinking of buying new ram as well so i was wondering if this can handle the 1866mhz speed... can anyone recommend me a good ram stick to go with this cpu and mb?
