I tried what you suggested it didn't work. I have the drive at the end of a SCSI cable and the terminator in the middle and the other end hooked up to the controller card. any more help would be greatly appreciated.

since the few reviews I've read about dual channel ddr3200 not being quite up to snuff I was wonder is it possible to run PC3500 in its place and get that little extra oomf out of it? or does the board have to support it?
