Question BCLK at 50, BCLK/DRAM frequency too high ?

Okay, so you see the same thing as me. CPU-Z shows the base clock speed (1200 or 1400 for you) but the FSB/DRAM ratio is actually applicable to the effective speed (2400 or 2800). Did you find you have any latency issues with this setup, or is that all correct and BCLK is hitting DRAM as it...

Question BCLK at 50, BCLK/DRAM frequency too high ?

Hi guys and girls, Strange issue here. CPU-Z shows the incorrect BCLK/DRAM Frequency. Before anyone says anything, I understand that CPU-Z only reads half the effective memory. Rig: ASUS x99 Deluxe i7-5820k Corsair HX1000i PSU Geforce GTX 1080 Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4 2400 4 x 4gb The...

[SOLVED] Airflow making CPU heatsink rattle

Turns out it was the Thermaltake CPU cooler after all. Replaced it with a NH-D15S and not a sound, all fans still where they were, no other changes. Put the Thermaltake cooler in my test rig and lo and behold, it rattles like a tin can full of rocks. Tennis2, I suggest you install MORE crap...

[SOLVED] Airflow making CPU heatsink rattle

Like I said, it's metal on metal. Thermaltake, or any other brand I know for that matter, dont make metal fans as far as I know. Tried turning down the speed of the 1225, even at minimum speed there is still a slight vibration sound. It is possible, because I know enough about science to know...

[SOLVED] Airflow making CPU heatsink rattle

Hi all, I have a Thermaltake Riing Silent Pro 12 CPU cooler. I've swapped the 120mm fan with a Thermaltake 1225AA 2000rpm fan which cools much better (runs at full speed). But combined with my Noctua NF-A14 case fan directly behind it, even when under no load (I have the Noctua on a curve...

[SOLVED] Trying to make sense of my case fans...

Thats what I said mate, only 3 pin to fan header OR 4 pin molex to PSU, BUT the OP said each fan has a 4 pin molex and a 2 pin molex, indicating they are both male, they apparently have no female molex at all. Molex FROM PSU are always female. And TO are always male. Which indicates that...

[SOLVED] new built pc won’t post :(

Good point, but I don't think the OP has integrated graphics, based on the build.

    Question New build problem

Check for 'NB PCIe' or something like that, make sure it's Auto or Enabled, not Disabled. And check your PCIe bandwidth (should be around the same place in BIOS) and make sure Auto. BIOS should automate all of this (default like egda said) but they do their own thing sometimes.

[SOLVED] HDD/SSD Not Detected by BIOS, Unknown and Unitiliazable in Disk Management

Ok now that's strange...they were hotplugged fine, turned off and then hotplug re-initiated and now this? One more thing...some BIOS have eSATA listed, is this set to AHCI? I figure maybe when hotplug was turned off, a setting has changed somewhere. And when turned back on, that setting hasn't...

    Question New build problem

It's a tricky one this. I just can't replicate it again no matter what I do... In fact this makes me think it's a BIOS setting, because I had this happen on my percy rig and now it's resolved.

Good point this. If it's not referenced you may have issues, unlikely but could be it.

    Question New build problem

Why would it post fine and recognize all RAM no problem in the second PCIe slot?

    Question New build problem

Its not DIMM related. It posts and recognizes CPU and RAM. It's PCI/CPU IMO
