How to Convince My Parents to Let Me Build a Gaming PC

It will be a steam or uplay code, when you enter the code the game will add to the account you are using, then you will get the option to download it. It's not automatic I personally never put a PC on the floor, they are dust traps, so pop it in a desk that will allow it plenty of room to...

How to Convince My Parents to Let Me Build a Gaming PC

If building the PC yourself is his main problem, why not just ask for a built to spec PC? You can get one built to your exact specifications for about £60 more than a build-it-yourself system (I'm in the UK, have no idea what that is in $) Also building your PC yourself teaches basically...

Nvidia or AMD cards, for next-gen games? What to choose with and FX cpu.

I'd grab a GTX 970 if you can afford it, if you can't the R9 290 isn't that far behind (but grab a sapphire if you get the R9, it needs the extra cooling!)

    AMD and nvidia, bad idea.

I really doubt it's the cpu/gpu combination, simply because I have a FX8350 with a GTX 970 and it works perfectly, no frame stutter Do you have AMD turbo core enabled on your CPU? Disabling that might help

Advice on graphics card upgrade needed please!

So the AMD route would be fine for me? I've always had Nvidia cards so I wasn't sure really! 290 is around £300 290x is around £400 so I wasn't sure which would be the better value as I'd heard the 290x wasn't that much different to the 290 at 1080 Thanks for the replies so far :)
