Turns out my ssd is running pcie4, i just clicked on the host controller and tought that the pcie version there was the version my ssd was using. It was the PCI Express Root port that you said. And i don't have raid set up. I have 1 sata ssd, 1 nvme ssd and hard drive. But thanks for the help.

I've installed a samsung 980 pro 1tb on the first slot of my ASUS prime Z690-P D4 mobo. And when i look in hwinfo it's telling me that my ssd is only running PCIe 2 instead of 4. If i'm correct it's the slot that directly goes to the cpu. I also have a sata ssd installed in the bottom m.2 slot...
