News AMD-Powered PS5 Demo Puts Your PC to Shame

According to Sweney/Epic this runs good on a 2070S so a proper wording would been "Put alot of PC to shame"... since if a 2070S runs this good... i wounder what a 2080TI would do for instance... put PS5 to shame?

Intel Core i9-9990XE Reviewed by Puget Systems

So another binned/factory overclocked chip sold at high premium. Intel who can't produce enough chips really goes through all options to gain some money, like going through the trash bins for cpu's with defective gpu's and even have the stomach sell that "trash" for the full price.

How to Choose a PC Monitor

@shrapnel_indie: Cant figure it out?`The distance from an eye to the surface is what determines the size of a surface to the eye. And if you have two equally sized surfaces at different ranges they would appear bigger and smaller depending on its range.. like moving an shooting target down...

How to Choose a PC Monitor

My 2 cents on curved monitors. They are awesome, why? Because a pixel is the same relative size no matter where it is on the screen where on a regular the pixels in the center are usually closer IE are bigger than the pixels to the far left and right so in reality a curved have more uniform...

PC Makers: We Need to Talk About the Boot Drive

Agree, boot-drives are often overlooked and quite important for an overall snappy system. Also find a noticeable difference with stream read games where textures/objects and what not is read while in game when on good fast storage.

Intel Skips Solder for Core i5-9400F, Uses Six-Core Die

I'm quite darn sure the micro-crack issue is greatly exaggerated to save face from the real issue - The money intel saves on cheap toothpaste tim vs proper soldering on high end dt chips even marketed as overclock able chips. The issue with increased heat that the TIM causes is the shortened...

Intel Skips Solder for Core i5-9400F, Uses Six-Core Die

So a chip that's defective (gpu) slammed together with sub-pair thermal transfer vs the proper chip... and sold at the same price as the full "proper" chip. Yeah, if i bought that by mistake i knew what greedy company i would be avoiding!

ASUS Dominus Extreme Listed for $1,800, Xeon W-3175X Listed at Newegg

Intel really need to get its act together! They got forced to place an xeon in hedt just to stay performance competitive... and vs an platform that's 1/2 cost no less! This desperate scream will by the looks of it get steamrolled when the new TRs will be released soon. It would be mighty stupid...

Metro Exodus Removed Off Steam, Decision Unfair, Says Valve

No it wasn't unfair, while i like Steam - Epic takes less of a cut and some of that in turn was put towards the customers in this case

The old saying you reap what you sow really holds true to Intel, they have forgotten to plant new seeds and thus are running out of harvest..

Gigabyte X399 Aorus Xtreme Review: Overclocking Without Compromise

About bloody-time 10GbE comes for real, heck 1GbE is overtaken by wireless (under good circumstances...) / usb. The 10GbE over copper tp (10GBASE-T) standard was done 2006... nice to see it come to consumers some 13 years later... *sigh*
