Question Radeon RX 6650 XT not working properly (Youtube stuttering and Office refresh issues) ?

AHHA! New develpment! In the second computer I tried this card on... When playing video, the sound through HDMI cuts out for a couple of seconds periodically. So maybe the video card(s) must be part of a bad batch. I use this computer as a "Media Center". So I just connect the HDMI port to...

Question Radeon RX 6650 XT not working properly (Youtube stuttering and Office refresh issues) ?

I reinstalled the OS...again. Downloaded "amd-software-adrenalin-edition-23.3.2-minimalsetup-230322_web.exe". Same MS Office issues. I installed the Radeon RX 6650 XT in a different computer with totally different hardware (Windows 11 / Office 365 as well if that matters) and get the same...

Question Radeon RX 6650 XT not working properly (Youtube stuttering and Office refresh issues) ?

Update: Still doesn't work with 23.3.2. I had switched to old nVidia GeForce 1060 and 1660 Ti either works fine. Reinstalled this AMD card and the new driver doesn't make a difference.

Question Radeon RX 6650 XT not working properly (Youtube stuttering and Office refresh issues) ?

Update: I've been using it for a while after that Adrenaline update I mentioned and I think it stopped the Youtube stuttering but the MS Office app "rectangle area refresh bug" still persists...although not as much as it did with my old card. Not sure if it's being worked on or there's...

Question Radeon RX 6650 XT not working properly (Youtube stuttering and Office refresh issues) ?

Hi, I bought this: MSI Mech Radeon RX 6650 XT Video Card RX 6650 XT MECH 2X 8G OC - Newegg.com It has an issue where on Microsoft Edge (but not Chrome), Youtube videos studder and become boxy. Also, in MS Office applications, there is a frequent refresh issue where a boxed area in an...

Question Why does my new Windows installation require the old SSD (volume) to be present ?

OK so, deleting all those partitions seems to be a lot of work if you wanted to "reset" a drive with an OS on it. Isn't there some sort of "total format tool" in Windows for something like this? I mean, what would you normally do if you did't know all these commands and the procedure? Don't...

Question Why does my new Windows installation require the old SSD (volume) to be present ?

Cool thanks! It worked! I can't seem to delete the partition though. The Delete Volume is ghosted. It only seems to work for the middle partition. Also, is there a reason why you selected 500 (vs. 100 like the one on the SSD)?

Question Why does my new Windows installation require the old SSD (volume) to be present ?

It says this: Operation Not Allowed! An attempt was made to change the boot partition to a logical drive, which is not allowed. The boot partition must be a primary partition. Please either select a different drive or convert the selected partition to a primary first, then try again.

Question Sometimes part of my screen doesn't refresh (new video card) ?

OK, now it happened again and this time, it seems it might NOT be the video card after all. A window "pane" specifically in MS Outlook, was partially blank. When I moused over an item, THAT item (folder in this case) appeared. But when I scrolled the pane, the missing items did not appear. I...

Question Why does my new Windows installation require the old SSD (volume) to be present ?

Formatting the drive doesn't get rid of the boot partition in it? There's still something hidden which has the volume info?

Question Why does my new Windows installation require the old SSD (volume) to be present ?

That's totally ridiculous, I don't remember it ever telling me I'm going to do that. Who the heck designed this installation procedure? Don't tell me I have to reinstall the whole thing over again. You can't transfer a boot file or something into a drive? I remember doing that a long time...

Question Why does my new Windows installation require the old SSD (volume) to be present ?

Hi, I had a SSD with Windows on it. I installed an M.2 SSD and installed Windows on that. On startup it prompts me to select a volume from the 2. I formatted my SSD and it still prompts me to select a volume. I removed the SSD and now I can't boot. The M.2 SSD is not in the boot menu in the...

Question Sometimes part of my screen doesn't refresh (new video card) ?

I fresh installed Windows 11 from the latest USB media tool downloaded from Microsoft. So there was no prior GPU driver installation. The previous hardware installation did not have any problem like this. It was: MSI Ventus GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Video Card GTX 1660 TI VENTUS XS 6G OC -...
