News China's chip imports fell by a record 15% due to U.S. sanctions and globally weaker demand

And as always (takes some time but still) Chinese chip developers will come with ingenious solutions to make their own CPU's and GPU's much faster on for example 14nm than Intel could ever have done. You are forgetting that people (Chinese) go searching for other solutions if they hit a brick...

News Test Processor With New Thermal Transistors Run 13 Times Cooler

Maybe it's possible to recycle the processor's power by using the heat to electricity way like those ventilators they make for wood stoves! And so lowering the power the CPU uses!

News Titan Army Invades the US With Cheaper High-End Monitors

Not everyone has a graphics card that can run 4k@144Hz. So it's a good thing to have alternatives.

News Threadripper Pro 7985WX Is Over 20% Faster Than Threadripper Pro 5995WX In Geekbench 6

TR 7985WX performance "pretty impressive"? I don't think so with higher clocks, larger L2 cache and of course the 70W extra powerdraw. If this cpu had shown these numbers at the same TDP (280W) as the previous gen then I would find it impressive. This is to me more like a refresh of the older...

News 8 GHz Core i9-14900K Sets New Record in CS2 With 1,310 FPS

These CPU's are extremely powerhungry. I rather see a performance per watt number than frequency only,

News Windows 10 Still More Popular Than Windows 11, Two Years Later

I thought Windows 10 was said to be the last new Windows ever. Guess you can't trust someone's word on that.

News Intel Will Adopt 3D Stacked Cache for CPUs, Says CEO Pat Gelsinger

That's just what I mean. Who says that doing it that way will be better? The cores may stay cooler but if the cache gets to hot it's throughput will go down. Maybe it's an idea to have all connections on the side and cool the top and bottom part of a CPU with stacked silicon. Just a crazy idea.

Review Lian Li Galahad II Trinity Performance 240 AIO Review: Raising the Bar

"The inner diameter of the water tubes has been increased from 5.8mm to 7mm, increasing the total volume of liquid by roughly 20%, which allows for better heat absorption." It's not the volume that has influence on heat absorption! I could have a bucket of cooling fluid but if the flow and...

News Intel Will Adopt 3D Stacked Cache for CPUs, Says CEO Pat Gelsinger

But.... "Doing something differently" does not mean that it will be beter than the original. I don't know how Intel is going to work with 3D cache but it seems to me if they don't know TMSC's process exactly they probably are going to make the same mistakes (or encounter same problems) that TMSC...

Review Acer Nitro 16 Review: Entry-Level Gaming Excellence

For me it's the bloatware to not even look at these brands of computers. Same for Lenovo laptops. And I don't get it, manufacturers must know people hate all this bloatware so why put it on a laptop, desktop or tablet!?

News Get a Great Deal on This Superfast RTX 4060-Powered 240Hz QHD Gaming Laptop: Real Deals

In the RTX4060TI 16Gb article it is a so so video card which is also too expensive and here it's a laptop with a superfast RTX4060???? 240hz screen but a 4060 won't ever be able to get to 240fps in the somewhat modern games so this is also overkill.
