I will attempt to try that tonight before I go to bed. Unfortunately the only way for the PC to freeze or crash is to let it sit for 6-8 hours. Any idea why time might be the only factor?
I might add that I found the PC to be very sluggish to boot when I had the external ssd connected to the pc even though my boot order is strictly only Windows Boot Manager. But that problem has seemed to disappear with time.
