[SOLVED] i9 9900k Multipler locking at 46 after overclock to 5.0 GHz

So, started using Asus AI Suite, now currently running at 5 on first 3 cores and 4.7 on the others. Seems to be fairly stable, shame I can't OC my ram, it just refuses to.

[SOLVED] i9 9900k Multipler locking at 46 after overclock to 5.0 GHz

I'm getting absolutely nowhere with OC my ram. It's running at 2133 and can't get it anywhere near the 3200 it's spec'd for. Another reason for thinking my board is scrap.

    Question Vengeance Ram won't overclock

Can only get it to run at 2266 by setting it manually. XMP just refuses to work. Might try another pair of sticks as I'm starting to believe it's my board. Seems like a common enough problem from what I've been reading.

[SOLVED] i9 9900k Multipler locking at 46 after overclock to 5.0 GHz

I've a Be Quiet Pure Rock - air cooled but it scores high enough in the bios to allow 5ghz. The first time I overclocked I got 5ghz then every time after has been lower. If I can't get further with my ram I'm thinking my board is the problem, shouldn't be such a struggle to overclock it.

[SOLVED] i9 9900k Multipler locking at 46 after overclock to 5.0 GHz

Strangely, I've just got round to overlocking the same cpu on a Z390-F and it's doing exactly the same. With the amount of messing I've been doing to OC my ram I just thought it was normal based on my cooling.

    Question Vengeance Ram won't overclock

Mine are Samsung too. Really struggling to do anything with them. I literally can't get them to do anything other than run stock. I've tested them and there are no errors. I also have the latest bios firmware. Spent days on it trying everything but nothing is working for me. Built it nearly 6...

Question ASUS PRIME X470-PRO strange memory problem

I'll give that a try Blaze08. I can't get it running with all 4 sticks in so will have to set it all to run then install them.

    Question Vengeance Ram won't overclock

So finally got my i9 9900k overclocked using the built in AI feature on my Asus Z390-f. All running great so now targeting my Ram. It's Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2x16gb 3200. It runs at 2133 standard but doesn't seem to want to go above that at all. Even at 2266 it boots, says memory text ok...

[SOLVED] Z390-F not running all 4 ram slots together

Not sure it was a poor choice, 32gb with an i9 9900K can't be a bad spec, all I could budget at the time. Workload demands more now though unfortunately. More juice may be the way to go though ;)

[SOLVED] Z390-F not running all 4 ram slots together

That's what I thought, or that's what I ruled out as all slots work fine. A lot of testing ahead of me. Cheers

Question ASUS PRIME X470-PRO strange memory problem

Just noticed my original set were Samsung hardware, new ones are Hynix. Same Corsair part number etc. No way for them to play well together?

[SOLVED] Z390-F not running all 4 ram slots together

See what you mean actually. Would XMP set its own limits for them? Or literally trial and error and see what works best?

[SOLVED] Z390-F not running all 4 ram slots together

That's the thing, they are the exact same RAM - 16gb 3200 sticks. Been down that long road before of mixing them, never again. Beginning to think it is the voltage or speed that needs set though?

Question ASUS PRIME X470-PRO strange memory problem

I have a similar problem in my Z390-F. I have 4x16gb of Corsair Vengeance, A2 + B2 were running 2x16 with not problems for 5 months. Then I added 2 more 2x16 and can't get all 4 to work together. Tried every possible connotation and worked out that each stick works fine and each slot works fine...

[SOLVED] Z390-F not running all 4 ram slots together

Have been running 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro on my Asus Z390-F with no problems for the last 5 months, been a great build so far. But with current work loads I've bought another of the same RAM. Problem is, I can only get 3 sticks to run - 48GB, doesn't matter which order they're in in terms...
