Well I was so happy to do something exciting with an old part without sending it all to trash. Guess I should by a new fan (500 INR) altogether which supports thermal and power sensors rather than spending money on the 2 pin to 3 pin adapters (200-300 INR)

My PSU recently got fried and all I can salvage is 2 pin fan from it. Its 12 V so it should work like any other case fan. All the fan connectors on my mobo are either 3 pin or 4 pin and I am not able to find a suitable connector/adapter for it. May be I am searching for the wrong terminology...

Thanks to all for taking out time and replying to my questions. I installed cx450 today while I look to upgrade other hardware. Installation was simple and my pc fired up. I also replaced the thermal paste and its all working fine.

I was just about to order cx450 but I noticed that my CM PSU says ATX 12V V2.3 If I check cx 450 it says: ATX12V 2.4 and EPS12V 2.92 standards Should I be concerned about this?
