I installed Ubuntu on an old pc with Windows XP on it. I have both operating systems as boot partitions on the same HDD. I am sure that the Windows XP has some viruses in it. Could a virus on the XP partition read any of my files on the Ubuntu partition being that they are on the same drive? Thanks

Doesn't seem like there is a really good all-in-one program like Aida64 on Linux. There's a free program called Hardinfo in the Ubuntu software center, think I'll give that a go. Thanks guys.

Just put together a new computer and want to test the memory and cpu temps. I usually do this in Windows but I don't have a license right now. So I am hoping there are somewhat equivalent programs I can run in Ubuntu. If you have any suggestions, they will be helpful. Thank you.

Considering H110 motherboard with 2 DIMM slots. It has 2 memory channel and 1 DIMM per channel. How does this run the RAM in dual channel when each stick in its own channel? I am confused because a 4 DIMM slot mobo has two channels as well, so it must run 2 sticks per channel. Will this 2 DIMM...
