I solved the problem. Zone Alarm firewall was blocking the sound driver install from completing. I had to turn off ZA. So the install of the sound drivers would go through.

This is a sound driver problem in a Toshiba Satellite M60 laptop. I found the XP sound driver for this laptop. But I keep getting stopped in the middle of the install with the following error message "setup failed to run installation. The remote procedure call failed" What the heck is that? Steve
