Looking for a new gaming cpu,motherboard. Which has the best price to perfomance ratio? Intel or Ryzen? Also, which combo is cheaper? Intel+mobo or Ryzen+mobo?

I have a Foxconn 2A8CH motherboard. It goes up to 4GB of ram. So i want a new socket 775 motherboard that supports up to 8GB DDR3 RAM, an intel core 2 quad q9400 CPU and gtx 1050 ti GPU. Low price, even used are fine.

most of them don't support 1366x768 resolution. What happens if i connect them?

Is there any other converter? Because the reviews don't seem good
