I know. I got Sandra 2005 now, and it ran the memory benchmark and also identified the suspect ram as PC3200. I'm thinking I just got PC3200 ram in PC3500 clothing...

That wouldn't explain why the first two dimms show up as pc3500 and the next two dimms show up as pc3200, would it?

I should also note I can't get Sandra to run the memory benchmark either. Says windows is out of resources, even after a restart.

I bought another gig of Kingston Hyperx PC3500 ram (2x512) for my computer, and for some reason CPU-Z shows it as PC3200. The original dimms appear as PC3500, but the new ones don't. I'm running them at 2.5-2-3-5, 2.75V. Any thoughts? I have an MSI 865PE mobo.

Why don't you read the reviews? The most recent ones should give you a good guide to the panels used by the manufacturers.

It should be common knowledge to anyone who frequents this site that most lcd monitors are just repackagings of the same panel. Panel, ultimately, is what counts. Benq is, I believe, the owner of AU Optronics (or the other way around), so in all likelihood they are using the AUO 12ms panel...

Nothing wrong, just seems like it's not available anymore. The discontinued it last year, but after Tom recommended it so highly the demand was great enough to have them remanufacture it. But it was only available at outpost.com for $550. Guess they're out and not going to sell it anymore...

If you want real recommendations, you should just read the reviews written up on tomshardwareguide.com. For highest quality colors, I believe the benq vp757-12 or whatever their new 17" 12ms panel is, if memory serves, has some of the best colors out there for an lcd. It's not really about who...
