Hi, your comment switched a small spark: I checked the BIOS, it is BIOS v02.59 Copyright 1985-2005, American Megatrends Inc. I tried without success to find the limit of that BIOS; I was not even able to find the web site of American Megatrends, did it change its name?

Thank you Moderator. I agree with 500GB, sounds reasonable. About the cd player I would leave it as is. The laptop at the moment works quite well. About 3 I was complaining for the little choice on cloning sw, not thinking at all on changing the OS. I would stick with Vista!
