So I ended up booting a Linux live USB, and went to the file Explorer. My ssd was there but I could not access it and I got a failed hibernation error. So my ssd is in a coma basically. Put a new ssd in and everything fired right up. Thanks for the support.

I couldnt get anywhere where I could install windows onto the other drives. I stuck in my windows 10 USB (PNY brand) and when I went to the boot menu on my mother board, the usb was the only boot option. I could either choose USB: PNY or UEFI: PNY. it brings up the windows setup dialog and...

The only other drives I have on hand at the moment are either external drives or the 2TB storage drive I have in the PC now. Should I try and install on that drive?

I reset the cmos. It boots to the windows logo with the spinning dots, then goes back to a black screen with just the cursor visible and I can move the cursor around.

So i checked bios, and I have the latest version. I switched sata cables and it booted into windows but kinda didn't. I saw the windows 10 logo and the spinning dots. but then it booted to a black screen in which i can see my cursor. I can move the cursor around but I can't do anything else...

Okay cool. I'll try that when I get home. And I haven't changed the motherboard so I should be good. I was just concerned about turning it off while it was resetting. Thanks

Would I be safe in shutting down the pc to mess with the sata cables? Is it possible to put the windows 10 ISO on a flash drive and do a fresh install? The windows 10 key is a hardware key or something right? So you select skip/do it later when asked for the product key during installation...

My computer froze and I restarted it. After I turned it off and started it back up again, it didn't boot into Windows. At first it was giving me a message about inserting the boot media. I reset it again and loaded windows 10 but it went into a "diagnosing your pc" loop where it would sit there...

I really didn't want to reinstall windows. is that my only option at this point? I just noticed that things like the audio services and whatnot are not running. and windows solution center cannot download solutions

So I got rid of a couple of things via the programs mentioned. Now I can downlaod everything fine but when I restrted my PC, I could not connect to window services. Also, all aero themes have been disabled and I cannot enable them. Any ideas?
