    Have 3x4gb, should I buy another 1x4gb or 2x4gb.

I have an older build I'd like to max out. Currently I have a set of Patriot Sector 7 1333,3x4gb. It's running on an AMD board which can't utilize the triple channel capabilities this memory was made for (It was cheaper at the time to buy this 12gb set than most 8gb sets for some reason) also a...

    Cannot Turn Wireless on

So found out my problem. HP has a setting in the BIOS for LAN/WLAN Switching, it will disable the wireless card and not alert you to that fact, if it finds a wired connection (working or not).

    My Windows 7 wont start

Look into BCDEDIT it will let you change settings in msconfig from a command prompt. Use your install CD, boot into repair mode and select the command prompt. The thing that worked for me is I deleted all the entries then went back to a restore point.

transparent tile of a pop out option remains on screen

First thing I would try is updating the video card drivers. The second thing I would try is disabling some visual effects in Performance Options, mostly transparency and the Fade/Slide for menus

    Cannot Turn Wireless on

After some house cleaning (Cleaning out temp files, ran CCleaner's registry clean, tweaking some services, updating some drivers and deleting an unused dual-boot partition) I ran into BSODs on boot. Repair, and restore points didn't help. Ended up fixing my boot problem through BCDEDIT.exe...

Computer fails to turn on with graphics card plugged in

Sounds like it would most likely be the power supply. You could check the voltages your getting from the PSU, since it won't post at all, even under a small load, you'll probably be able to find a voltage thats out of whack(hopefully way too low) More rarely you could have some kind of problem...

    Wearing gloves while building?

Wash your hands? Don't worry TOO much about static, touch the case before you pick up any component, and don't build it on carpet. You should be fine.

    Car speaker distance from montior

Flat screen LCDs are not harmed by magnets. Only the old style tube screens were affected. Just keep the speakers away from the hard drive and it shouldn't be any problem.

    Issue with Burning Audio CDs

Some burning programs will allow you to "overburn" cds. Allowing more than the max rated length or space. It all depends what kind of cd burner and cd blanks are being used. But I have gotten about an extra 2 minutes onto a CD. Its really hit or miss though. The program I use is Nero.
