I am logged in as admin. I don't restart Windows every time I change the sleep settings if that's what you mean, but since it started happening Windows has been restarted many times for one thing or another.

The bios update prevents the bug. Nothing fixes it if degradation has already occurred. If that's the case RMA is the only fix.

The MSI flash bios procedure is notoriously picky about the usb stick used. People seem to have better luck with smaller USBs under 32Gb. I've seen instances where people went through 4 or 5 different ones before getting it to work.

I know you have already reseated the cooler, but idling at 70c sure sounds like it isn't seated properly or not enough thermal paste. If you're sure it's actually idling, that is. What does cpu usage look like in task manager when it's at 70c?

Before you start replacing hardware, your original post said "some games". What games, is it always the same games that crash? Do some games run fine?

2x16 is a better option, 4 sticks puts more stress on the memory controller and you are more likely to have issues. Not saying you would, but as long as you still have a choice, go with 2 modules.

This is a bad idea. The early BIOS versions are susceptible to the voltage bug and can kill the cpu over time. You definitely need to stay on the latest version with a 14th gen cpu.

But that's not 100% proof that the driver update caused the issue, it's possible there is a hardware issue at fault here. Especially with all the uninstall/reinstalls you've done that haven't helped.
